Although there are mixed research findings about whether homework really increases students’ academic achievement, many teachers and parents agree that homework develops students’ initiative, self-discipline, responsibility, and fulfills the expectations of students, parents, and the school system.
If possible, try not to do your child’s homework yourself! It denies your child the opportunity to practice skills and gain an understanding from the practice. Doing homework should help your child plan, manage, and complete work on his or her own.
